Botanical Name: Capsella bursa-pastoris
Provides support for circulatory problems, menstrual disorders, and other health conditions, such as diarrhea, heavy periods, heart failure, hemorrhoids, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). It treats infections in the bladder, bleeding from the skin, blood in the urine, cardiovascular problems, diarrhea, gynecological problems, headaches, hemostasis, locomotor problems, menstrual cramps, mild heart failure, nerve complaints, nosebleeds, premenstrual problems, superficial burns, and vomiting.
Studies have shown that shepherd's purse reduces mucus inflammation, protects against ulcers, and slows tumor growth. Additionally, shepherd's purse is said to stimulate circulation and increase urine flow. Directly applied to the skin, it promotes healing of wounds and burns, as well as treating eczema.
Steep for tea and combine it with other herbs. You can grind it into powder for capsules.
Directions of Use:
Steep 8 oz of water and add 1 tablespoon of Tea.
